So my plan is to tomorro go and get Batman from Game and finish it within seven days so i can get my money back and then buy Uncharted 2. Is it possible to finish the game and be satisfied with it in seven days?

I beat the story mode and solved all the riddles in 3 days. Use the remaining 4 days to conquer challenge mode or give the story mode another run through. Mind you I spaced out my playtime, so you could finish faster if you like to play for long hours.

don't you feel bad for essentially stealing from these developers who worked so hard and long on their game?

if you want to play the game, buy or rent it. dont steal. (yes its stealing) its one thing to not like it and return it but dont buy it intending to sell it back.

You can argue whether its stealing or not but the bottom line is the companies return policy encourages such behavior. Most people have an idea if a game will be good or not based on demo's, reviews, video's, screenshots, etc. What is the point of their return policy?

not all consumers visit gaming sites. i REALLY hope the TC just doesnt realize how their policy works and the store doesnt allow for it to be returned if opened.

i think hes talking about a used game and it is gamestop policy to return used games. also shouldn't publishers feel equally ashamed of charging 60 dollars for something you can finish in 3 days. im not a fan of used games either or what they are doing to the industry but its just as much the publisher fault the pricing of games these days are just ridiculous.

if you think that games cost too much or are too short, then dont buy em or just buy older ones. they tend to drop in price pretty quick these days. buying a game intending to return it may not be stealing, but its dishonest at best.

If you buy used games from GameStop, they have a 7 day return policy in which you can get all of your money back. I use that deal a lot.

GameStop employees can essentially do the same thing. TC has figured out a way to beat the system to some extent, and it's a victimless crime...why try to discourage him?

I buy games that I want. If I just want to spend a little time with a game or if I know I will beat it quickly, I will buy it used, beat it, and return in quickly. Then I pick another game and repeat. I still buy a lot of games too though.

Rentals are 10 dollars. That adds up. This actually saves money... It's all about the $$$. I will save any chance I get. And if I do this with 10 games, thats still only $60 that I spent. Totally worth it.

No I do not pirate games. I AM NOT STEALING ANYTHING! Why are you acting as if this is some kind of crime? It is completely legal and people do it. And like I said, I buy plenty of games also. So you are saying that you throw out $60 bones at every game you want to play? Not everyone has a lot money and people will save if they can, including me.

It is not stealing. If you mean stealing from the developers, than no it is not that either. Blame GameStop for this if you have to.

You can beat the game in a couple of days without going too crazy. It's fairly lengthy for a SP game these days, but you can still rush it in a couple of days. A week is plenty of time to do absolutely everything. The challenge modes are the reason to buy the game (I bought mine for $40 new so that was incentive as well).

Why? It's the same as GameStop selling used games. Either way the dev doesn't see any money from it. It's an accepted practice and you probably don't flame everyone that shops there. Since he is buying a used game anyway, the only party that sees any money from that is Gamestop. If you want to be mad, be mad at them. Personally I buy all my games, but in this case I don't see what the big deal is. If a game can be completed to total satisfaction in 7 days, it wasn't worth $70 to begin with.

Can the moral brigade please slide on. You don't know him yet you're calling him a pirate and a thief:roll:.

OT: Yes, you could always play on easy if you're still a bit wary.

Wow, the moral police came out swinging here, eh?? Returning less-than week-old used gamestop games is STEALING??

As a matter of fact, at the GS near me, they almost encourage this. Its not "figuring out how to beat the system"-the employees told me about it!! They said "You can return any used game for full value if you 1) didnt like it 2)it was the wrong thing or 3) YOU BEAT THE GAME AND ARE DONE WITH IT!!!

This does not steal from devs because they already got paid full price for their unit. They dont (and shouldnt) have any right to that unit past that point.

So, who's geting ripped off? The GS that openly advocates for this, as they know their customers are not all rich??

U know what I'm with you on this one. If you just want to play a fun game for the story, I'd say go for it. If your a hardcore gamer looking to play, then I wouldn't recommend it. And Starchild, what is up with your sig. I must have seen it like 20 times while writing this. so damn distracting =P

There are hardly any games out there that can't be completed in 7 days depending how much you play. A lot of times, the shortest of games (Heavenly Sword) can last me a good week or two. I think some people just spend too much time in front of the TV.
