I think most people know what MGO is. And to your question. It all depends on what you like. I would like any MG game over socom any day. So no socom wont be better than mgo IMO.
Dont think we can judge that yet seeing as socom isnt even out yet. Confrontation looks a little sketchy to me since its being made by slant six and not zipper this time. But it may be better than MGO considering that its strictly an online game and there will be no single player. Only time will tell O_o.

Socom, Socom...Most people who say that Socom won't be better than MGO didn't have a PS2 with online adapter. Socom 1,2 and 3 ran Ps2 online. Confrontation will run PSN as well.

Technically MGO is not MGS4 and is alone itself an online game... But I get your point.

And you can still find people playing Socom on-line even now after all this time. I was checking the other day and there were some Socom 1 on-line games being played.
