Usually I never believe people who forward messages but i kept on getting messages that sony decided to make us pay for playstation network. Is there any documented proof that sony said anything like that?

There will be a premium package coming out sometime this year. Everything we have now will STILL be free, while the premium packages will have extra stuff, if anyone can elaborate as too what those things will be it would be greatly appreciated.
I've read articles stating they'll offer a premium service for a fee, but being able to play online will still be free (as of now).
Apparenrtly they are considering it for 2010, however, they have mentioned that all the services you have right now for free, WONT change. So even if they do add a premium account, you'll still get PSN store and online gaming action, so you won't lose anything.
I've not seen any info regarding psn premium nor have i been sent one of these spam chain msg's regarding psn charges. If Sony do charge for a premium service i won't understand why, as they have a video service which you pay to rent/buy the movie. They have games and content to buy (demos are free), what other service could the provide that they need to charge for. BBC Iplayer is free as the BBC is paid for by the british public (because xbox live already charges that is why BBC Iplayer is not on xbox). Facebook intergration is already on the ps3. Ok you can get Sky Player on Xbox Live but unless you already have sky and pay for the multiroom service you have to pay to access the channels. Plus I already have sky player on my PC and I rarely use it as I use other sites to watch live football and other live sports also i use bt vision which has most of the football on it's on demand service after 10pm on the day of the match (full games or 45min highlights). If someone can provide me with a link of the page confirming premium service and what it will entail prehaps it will give me a chance to read it and it may change my view

Ok the slide mentions it, but it doesn't actually confirm it. This is something they are exploring. If Sony were planning a premium service and it is due this year this would be announced in a press conference and probably at E3 this year. As I have already said, alot of the services we already have, we get for free and they will continue to be free (only the content we want we pay for ie movies and game dlc). The only service we don't have is sky player and then you have to pay for a sky subscription to use it anyway so xbox live users are being hit twice just to watch sky whereas with the BBC Iplayer (not on xbox live due to microsoft only wanting it on the premium service) we can access content from the BBC for free.
That was on the rumor section where they say bogus or not. But as is the case it went to top stories.I read off of somewhere on gamespot that it was actually confirmed.

yeah but that one was BS...if that would be for real, then people would be able to download content valorated in up to 1000$ and all that for paying 50 dollars monthlyI believe unlimited (free) access to PSN's PS1 games are included as part of the premium package. There are other benefits, but that right there is more than worth the upgrade.
