Theres no real reason why a Tenchu game shouldnt come out on PS3, though ever since Tenchu 2 (ironicly when Sony lost all contact in the devellopment in the games) the series has really went down the drain.
Tenchu was very good until Tenchu 2. Then some problems, such as completely brain dead Ai and archaic controls started showing on Wrath of Heaven, which was still a good game. As soon as Sega took over with Fatal Shadows, the glares were that more apparent, as they did nothing to fix them, plus they gave Rikimaru the boot. And Tenchu Z... I don't want to talk about it. Neither wanna talk about the handheld versions.
For Tenchu to go back to its former glory, they need a new developer. One that doesn't suck.
Doesn't it MS own the right to that franchise? Pretty much to everything else we hear now a days are being exclusive to them? And pretty much what they do to get exclusive is flash people with cash? Sorry but I speak the truth, this is how they handle things today.

Nope, apart from being on 360, the Tenchu series has nothing to do with MS be it development or publishing, tenchu Z is a 360 exclusive because when it was in production the PS3 wasnt out yet.

My thoughts exactally, I miss Tenchu (well the good 1s at least)
Tenchu sucks.... Shinobido Imashime or Way of the Ninja is hell alot better, heck its made by the same team who created the original Tenchu and Tenchu 2.
your not missing anything,i loved the old tenchu games in fact it was tenchu that got me into gameing,so i was excited when i saw the new one for the 360 but after i got it i found that it was an awful game,you don't even have to sneak up and kill anyone if you don't want to,all i had to do was run past them to get to the boss battles,the AI is so bad in the game,if the guards see you they will chase you if you run but after about 20 seconds they got back to where they were like they never even saw you,trust me,i played the old tenchu games and loved them,they were fun,this game is crap,so don't get too upset if it doesn't come out for the ps3
Shinobido was ok but I felt like the controls weren't tight enough. I would like to see another red ninja game. That was a cool idea for a weapon but the camera and controls were insanely crap. Who doesn't want to slice people in half as a sexy ninja in a red outfit?
That would be awesome if Tenchu went back to it's former glorly like the first one, and Wrath of Heaven. Really it's one game series that I miss alot

Tenchu 1 and 3 are pretty much the same; both lacking features when compaired to Tenchu 2, both have no story at all, and both have really lame AI, i dont really know why people consider Tenchu 1 to be so great these days yet say Tenchu 3 is rubbish i can only guess its because Tenchu 1 has a whole ****c aura to it.
Either way, the best Tenchu ever was Tenchu 2, if you disagree then you've probaly never played it, if a new Tenchu game was to arise then i really hope it takes after the 2nd with a REAL story, and new features that are of actual use; unlike those in Tenchu 3 and Z which were mainly for show.
