I remember when i saw the review of AC on gametrailers and they were showing some sequences where the AI really sucks, and i haven'T played it for that reason. But now with two days left to my vacation i maybe would give it a rent, but is it enjoyable or the AI really mess everything up? Also, from what i heard two days is enough to finish the game right??? AI does a good job of simulating populated environment. But it is a bit stupid when it comes to getting away when finishing missions. There are bad moment because crowds really just reacts to you and you are going to have some good laughs when ppl get pushed into sea and drowned by guards and suddenly everyone panicks.
I think the worst part about AI is how easy it is to get away from guard after mission and blending in to get away from crime theme. and some of those pickpocketing mission will leave you dumbfound as well.
The game does gets a bit repetative after a bit because mission types are all the same and the increased difficulty in later act is completely nullified as your char just gets downright overpowering with that counter move.
Game length varies, but if you are the one to complete everything (not counting those pointless extra contents) will probably net you around 18 hrs. If you do the absolute minimum it can be done in less then 10.
IMO it sucks. I could do low profile kills in front of the guards and just stand there and they won't spot me. IMO They need to make it harder to make low profile kills.
there not the sharpest tool in the shed but your so freakingpowerfu it pretty much doesn't matter how smart they are! But theonly enemies that gives metrouble are templar knights
The AI isnt too horribly bad like alot of people have said here, but I wont deny the lack of challenge in some of the assasinations. Alot of times I assasinated someone and this whole epic get-away was too easy. All it took was climbing the tops of the city and practically walking my way out, not really my idea of creating havoc on the poor town >.<
But as someone said before when you are doing the missions, the pety ones that is such as eavesdropping and etc, you can find alot of fun messing with the people because they are slow to catch on.
I'd say the worst flaw of this game would be that its way to easy to fly through the game after you get the counter move. Once you get it your god and no one can stop you. You can take on hundreds of guards in seconds and thats that, takes the point of stealth away from the game really. But if youre renting it why not? there isnt a lose to play it and see if for yourself because it is a very unique game ^_^
