Painkiller was more annoying on mw1 than mw2. (it was 2nd perk for mw1 forgot name). I didnt acually care much about painkiller
After, I have realized I can call in a Pavelow, AC-130 and a Hind...All at once.
I just stick to HC S&D now.
MW2 as a whole was pretty poor, as in, the bad points far out-weighed the good points.
If I remember correctly I put in just over 100 hours on the multiplayer, mainly because it was the only thing being played by everyone on my friends list, but I have to say that it was rarely enjoyable. Not because I was bad at it, I usually finished in the top 3 on any game, but because it was a ridiculous lagfest with too many and easily achieved killstreaks.
In truth the deathstreaks didn't bother me too much, let's face it, you had to be doing badly to trigger a deathstreak anyway.
Nope. I didn't care about Painkiller at all. I virtually never fought anyone who had painkiller's bonus. It runs out fast enough that it isn't a huge problem.
There are many reasons why I quit playing MW2, that was one of them.
But to be specific:
Unfortunately I still play, but if I did have a reason to quit it would be the D-Bag community mentioned above. The only way I can play without ending up pissed off in the end is by muting everybody in the game...every time. Helps a lot.
Painkiller is annoying, but if everybody has painkiller active, then you or your team must be doing something right ;)
I just recently got back into this game, but I've been playing it religiously for about a week and a half now. painkiller doesn't really bother me. I think it's prevented me from getting 1 kill over the 20 hours I've played this week.
I still play it sometimes because a lot of my friends play it but the main reasons I play it less are the lack of skill needed (cheap perks, stupid no recoil guns) and commando. Commando has to be the most annoying thing I have ever seen in a shooter. I once got knifed through a wall with commando.
This. And the ridiculous amount of xp which was just given away. MW2 felt too 'arcadey' in comparison to COD4. I found it fun for about a month and since then traded it in.There are many reasons why I quit playing MW2, that was one of them.
But to be specific:
hanslacher54
- Painkiller and deathstreaks in general
- All the new killstreaks
- Noobtube/danger-close
- Heartbeat sensors
- BC2 came out
- Terrible community (no teamwork, name calling, filled with pre-teens)
- Overpriced dlc's (and how only 60% of the maps are new, shows how creative IW is...)
- Bad maps
- Camping
- commando

I know what you guys mean, commando is annoying too, especially when you shoot the guy first a couple of times then he knifes you.
