I hate to split hairs, but I'd have to say the PC would be the best multimedia game system. Though it would vary based on the unit itself.
Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the PS3, but I don't know why people are so hostile too it. If I had to guess I'd say it isn't console, but Sony itself. Sure, they may not be all bad, but it's gotten to the point even people who regularly make fun of the gaming industry (webcomics in particular) tend to avoid taking shots at Sony because "it's too easy". Also, when some of the bigwigs like Penny Arcade start taking shots at something, a lot of people tend to automatically build negative opinions and then use news clips and such to justify the opinions. Rather then building the opinions directly off of the news.
I think its the absolute opposite. Sony is down right now. So people are piling on and taking cheap pot shots while they can. Sony hasn't been this vulnerable in over 10 years.
IMO I really think all this negativity and giant system wars wasn't that big until Microsoft came into the consoles. One of the reasons why I dislike Microsoft is because they pretty much own almost every single PC in the world with Windows, now they want consoles as well? Just my opinion though, to each their own.
being it's self! ...that's what mom's would say. lol. Oh no, not an "Everyones special" speach!!!! The ps3 isnt number one... and the media is "bashing" it because its always getting bad news... They arent making this stuff up, they are just reporting it... The ps3 is number 1 at being the one console that i keep really wanting, and then telling myself "maybe later"
