Is the Onimusha series over?

I loved Onimusha 1,2,3 and replayed them like crazy. The ones that came after that weren't too great. I'd love to see the series rebooted. Does anyone know if they are done with it? would anyone else like a new Onimusha?

Yeah I liked the first 3 as well, but I'm happy that it's over as 4 sucked real bad. I doubt they're going back to it, but I believe there were some rumors about an HD collection.

I don't think it's fair to say that they abandoned it, but rather let it run its natural course.

About a year ago, Yoshinori Ono said "the time feels right" to bring back Onimusha.

Sure, they're working on a web-browser game right now but they could still revive the series on consoles. Seems like they're reviving Darkstalkers.

Also, if Capcom would greenlight a Sengoku Basara HD Collection then I don't see why they wouldn't remaster one of their best-selling series in HD. It only makes sense.

I liked the series, but I feel it has ran its course, not to mention the series never sold terribly well in the west. Nothing worse than a series being sequeled to death.
