Like everyone has stated it is free, that's another reason to love/get a PS3. :)

PSN and basic HOME are both free. The only cost involved is if you want to purchase something on PSN or HOME.

yup fully free and the wallpaper and themes are free (unless you want some sexy sniper anime babes) [then those cost 99 cents american]

I'm pretty sure there's cost to keep PSN running but luckily we can play online for free.

Yup, it's free and the demos and most other stuff are free too in the playstation store. But, if you wanna get a full game or some other things you gotta pay for them.

I see your thinking, but no. The PS3 already costs more to manufacture than what they sell it for. There is no price bump on the console to cover PSN expenses.

Online play is free everywhere, except on LIVE. You are using your internet connection, and usually are using the consoles themselves as the servers. The expense of online play isn't as high as some would like you to believe...

It's free other than full games obviously and DLC for games. There is no membership crap. There is no you have to wait weeks to play a demo because you don't pay for online garbage. Just stay away frome Qore and you will be ok.

It is 100% free. Of course some add ons and PSN games cost money but I have never found a hidden fee.
