No it doesn't.  Go ahead and scan the forum.  You will see very little if any broke ps3 threads.  They are built like tanks.

The PS3 is far more superior than a 360. Not only is it durable it's a fully loaded entertainment console right out of the box.

Nope. The PS3 is more powerful than the 360.

You probably will have some problems like:

1)You no longer have the option to quit playing because it won't over heat

2)Resistance is hard to put down

3)Being able to go online without having to stop at Wal-Mart to pay 50 bucks to play only a year

So I guess if these are problems for you, then your screwed.

I've had the Wii, the 360 and I currently have the PS3. The 360 is noisy, glitchy, overheats and is just a problem. Plus there was a new 360 released because the Microsoft knew that it had nothing against the PS3........and STILL knows it.

Take it to System Wars... threads like this tend to get modded in system-specific forums.

EDIT: This actually isn't that biased... the PS3 does have a lot less hardware problems than the 360.

No problems here, it does pump out a lot of heat, but you only feel the heat at the edges of the machine, so the internals stay much much cooler than they do on the 360 I'd imagine. Give the 360 6 more months though and I'm sure a new build of it will be out that hopefully breaks less.

I also have to add that the supported ability to run Linux on PS3 to me blows the 360 out of the water, not to mention the Wii. I can use my PS3 to play NES SNES GB and GBA games, not to mention a PSOne emulator that I can use to play my old games that I don't have on original disk anymore. Come to think of it, despite the 360's expanded Live service, I think the PS3 still won out of the gate.
