In other words I believe what he is saying is this. Is the PS3 worth buying for just the exclusives.....The answer to that is yes. There are enough great exclusives to warrent the worth.....Oh and before you ask which ones, use the Recommendation thread.

IMO, it is. I've played mostly exclusives on my PS3. They have all been great games (except for Resistance 2, again IMO).

Resistance 1 & 2, Killzone 2, Uncharted 1 & 2, Little Big Planet, Metal Gear Solid 4, inFAMOUS, Motorstorm 1 & 2, Heavenly Sword, Demon's Souls, Valkyria Chronicles, etc, are more than enough reasons to buy a PS3.

If you already play other games on a 360 or PC then yes, the PS3 has lots of good exclusives, I could name at least ten but there is a recommendations thread.

Yes, it's worth it. In addition to the titles mentioned above... the MLB the Show series is a good buy if you're into baseball.

Can't give a good answer for this question when he never mentions what types of games he likes. If he's a big FPS fan, I'd say no. The DS just isnt good for that type of game in my opinion. Do you like platformers? If so, yes. Racing? Yes. Action/Adventure? Yes. RPGs? Not at the moment (FYI, Demon's Souls is a GREAT game, just doesn't fit into this category. as far as I'm concerned it falls into the action/adventure). RTS? God no. It's hard to say when all HE says is "??"

In my opinion as someone who has recently bought a ps3, it's probably not worth buying for the exclusives alone. Killzone 2 is a decent game with great graphics but nothing more. MW2 for example is far superior in everything but the graphics department. Worth buying if you enjoy FPS's for sure but not worth buying the console for. 7 Resistance 2 (not played the first one) is extremely mediocre and has an awful multiplayer. Wouldn't even recommend this to FPS fans. 5 Little Big Planet looks great and has lots of charm. A good game to play with the gf or a friend who isn't normally into gaming. Can be picked up very cheap as well. 8 inFAMOUS is one of the better games to come out this year. It's a more rounded game than prototype and I'd recommend it. 8 Metal Gear 4 is really not my cup of tea but I know plenty of people love it. I loved Metal gear on the ps1 and thought Metal Gear 2 on ps2 was good in parts but game play wise MGS4 just hasn't changed enough and feels a bit dated in that respect. The graphics are obviously nice and theres plenty of story if you're into it but I'd still rather play the ps1 version. 6/7 Uncharted 1 &2 are great games that really do deserve plenty of hype. This is what next gen tomb raider should have been. Fast, fluid and action packed. Really hard to fault the overall package you get with both these games. 9 Now don't get me wrong I like my ps3 but some of the exclusives that get hyped beyond belief really don't deserve the hype they get. That's true for the 360 as well but it seems to happen more often on the ps3 in my opinion. I'd find a way to try some of the games out before you buy the console if I was you.

Kz2 is not 12 hours. I finished first time through in 8 or 9 and content is more important than length. Alot of kz2 is very similar and could have been cut down. I mean how many times do you need a segment where you man a turret? It seems to happen every other level. And the rubbish boss type events, especially the final one. And just because two games have different types of multiplayer doesn't make one better than the other. Though I would point out far more people are playing MW2 online than kz2.

Yes it is worth it. It's the reason I got a PS3. I have an Xbox and there just aren't as many good exclusives for it. If you like Halo/Gears or only play online then just stick with the Xbox because those are better than Killzone/Resistence IMO and the online is better (not that the PS3 online is bad, plus it's free to play).

For anything else though PS3 is better. Uncharted, Demon's Souls, Little Big Planet, Ratchet & Clank. Those are just a few of the best exclusives that are out now. As for upcoming games there's even more exclusives like God Of War 3, ModNation Racers, Heavy Rain, The Last Guardian and more.
