So yesterday, I was at the store after school, and I bought a new PSP 2000, and later that say, my Dad says, "I can't believe you bought one of those." And I say "Why?" He goes " There isn't any games." And then I go " Yah there is! there's like a whole cabinet of em'!"
Then my Dad says "Yah, but how many of them are any good?" And then I say "Well, I saw a couple good games." Then he finishes off "Exactly. They're just not making very many good games for it anymore."

Anyone else thinking that it's a dying breed?

No, it's 2009 lineup is actually looking pretty solid. I think it'll have a steady stream of releases unlike 2008, where it had 2 big games in the first half and then nothing for the second half.

What I really want to see, is a game that is full of action, and edventure, and can keep you playing for quite a while. Something new.

As soon as I see FFVII crisis core, I'm buying it. I'm not a fan of the god of war series.

Yeah go for Crisis Core, its great, plus its pretty long in terms of most games these days(took me about 20 hours)...Thats not too long for Final Fantasy but it definitely is pretty good:)

Absolutely Crisis Core is a VERY VERY VERY VERY very very VERY good game. Can you tell my emphasis? Also, if you can get involved in the long yet simple story, then the ending should be somewhat moving.

Do not hesitate at all for buying this game, but I found myself buying this and thinking it was OK, and then thinking it is one of my favorite RPGs and one of the best games on the PSP.

Also... I wish I could get God of War but I can't because of Nudity.... pretty lame huh?

PSP isn't going anywhere anytime soon, I'm sure it'sjust lost alot of support due to hackers. Nowadays, we usually only get the games that are going to sell well in the UMD format. Others are released on the PSN.

Dying or not, i like it very much. I recently changed my PSP-1000 by the new PSP-3000, and, imo, an amazing little device just got even better. Yes, it is not having the great success Sony hoped for (blame the DS), and it is not having the abundance of games the PS2 had, but there are very enjoyable games for it. For instance, one little game released for it in 2007, that i just bought this year, is making me play my PSP right now even more than i play my 360, PS3 or DS. That game is Jenne D'Ark. Awesome strategy RPG. Also, i'm very excited about the new Parasite Eve game. I waited all the PS2 generation for a sequel to this amazing series, but i'm glad now that i will be able to play it on the go. But sure, i'm missing games like Gran Turismo and Devil May Cry on it. Well, but one thing is for sure, there is still great enjoyment to be had with my PSP

Ice silver. It came with Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets (movie), Echochrome code and 1GB memory stick pro duo. My previous PSP-1000 was piano black, and i had planned to buy a piano black PSP-3000 as well, but that until i saw the ice silver in my hands. It's simply beautiful..

I was thinking of upgrading my piano black 1000 to a 3000, but I wasn't sure if I'd like the silver color. I know the black complements the screen better, but I was thinking that mabye I'd want a color change.

Then you should consider the ice silver. I'm very satisfied with it, and that comes from a guy that loved the piano black. Like i said, it wasn't my first choice, but once i held it i wanted anything else.

Whoops, I spelled "compliments" wrong. Yeah, I think I may consider the silver 3000 if I am to get one. Especially now that Dell have the Silver pack for $169.99.

Yep, the PSP is pretty much on its death bed IMO. This year would be a good time for Sony to share their next system with us.

If the 2009 lineup is any sign- the PSP is far from dead. 2009 should be much kinder to the PSP than 2008 was. The PSP had 3 great games in the first quarter of the year- then went to sleep for the last three quarters unfortunately... :(

PSP is not dead, I think it's just about to really start moving. There is a great list of releases, and the secondary media used just add to the package. Dissidia sold quite well in Japan it's first week, and I'm sure will do the same here. I'm going to get it on launch day, whenever that may be.
