Yes there is. Also some things will fit directly to the PS3 from the PS2, an example is the AV connection are exactly the same on both systems. And the USB headset that was used on the PS2 will work on the PS3 without any adapter.
Yeah there is an adaptor, you can get it for about 10-15 bucks at gamestop or gamestop.com, or i'm sure they even sell it on amazon. Just search ps2 controller adaptor for ps3 and it should come up.
