HECK NO! That sucks too because I'm a huge rpg fan and sony showed White Knight Story & The Last Remnant, but we have yet to hear anything new from either one.

When I hear the word RPG I automatically think of Japanese made. I'm not a fan of western RPG's hence why I didn't mention Obliviona and that Spider-Man game because it didn't cross my mind.
You can put a question next to Eternal Sonata this year. It will be released in Japan for the PS3, but not in the US soon. Perhaps next year if folks clamor enough for it.
I am in the same boat as you bro. I am an RPG fan as well and their isn't really anything out that i've heard "great" things about. I heard Folklore had a pretty good story, but overall wasn't a great game, but wasnt bad either. Oblivion, I did not like at all. It was one of the first games I got with my PS3. I dont really know why I didnt like it, I think it was just that fact that their was just SO MUCH to do and the world was so big that I just couldnt see myself playing hours and hours of that game. Im a huge Final Fantasy fan, those are more of the RPG's im into.
Does anyone know how much Folklore is going for nowadays? I dont wanna slap down 60 on it, but if its cheaper I may consider buying it. Im really in need of an RPG..im so pissed I dont have BC on my ps3..

um yea folklore is fun as hell and its also cheap which is why i got it. Its 29$ with tax used!!
Oblivion is the only one that comes to mind. I myself, have been looking into PS2 games that I missed out on, such as Final Fantasy X and XII (I know I'm very late).
Folklore is great, the monster are fun to use and the story is very unique even though it doesn't use a lot of flash to propel it such as a lot of cutscenes and voice acting. The only thing is that the game is on the short side and you have to play each level twice because you have to play as 2 people.
Look for Disgaea 3 this august and Valkyria Chronicles this November. I don't know why strategy RPG's aren't considered rpg's.
I've played Enchanted Arms for about 70 hours, it's not so under average like people say : the typical hero that triggers bad events, has a secret evil power, befriends a princess ... it's always the same in JRPGs after all. The strategic element with the attacks having a pattern and the very different golems (20 more on PS3) is a good thing.
I too am a big fan of RPGs especially JRPGs. Sony has always had the best JRPGs, so hopefully that will remain true this gen. I enjoy western RPGs as well. I just finished playing Mass Effect for PC and it's absolutely amazing. I hope PS3 gets the next two installments. I'm hoping for another Grandia and Dark Cloud though.

I just purchased Folklore today at my local store which only buys and sells used games for just under $20. However that is a local store that's not exactly widespread. You could go to Gamestop though, as they sell new copies of Folklore for $30. Wish I could play it, but still waiting on my PS3 to get back.
