Is there a IP ban on PS4?

If it is. what is the solution? Buying new ps4 and buying new router can fix it?

second thing is : i looked "banned and suspended consoles and accounts " page and i saw only console ban/account bans, there is no information about ip bans so this means sony isnt ip banning?

Were you banned for cheating?

Well, you IP is connected to your Internet Provider and you connect the PS4 to the same IP (NAT type etc). If you can connect other devices to your Internet and use them without issues (like your cell phone) then my guess is that Sony had put a lock on that IP which is registered to your PS4.

I would call Sony and figure out why you're banned and what can be done.

if you are not subscribed for a fixed ip on your isp, your ip address will change everytime you restart the modem, so it wouldn't make sense... if sony were to ban the mac address(es) or your cpu id of your ps4, then you wouldn't be able to sign in at all... i reckon sony only bans accounts...

@askps: How can you tell if you are banned? What are the symptoms? Are you not able to sign into PSN with your email and password? What error messages are you getting?

@MondasM: Actually there's CGNAT, it's a problem that I'm facing right now with my ISP (NET Virtua/Brazil), when a ISP start to migrate to IPv6 normally they throw the IPv6 users under a same IPv4 address and SONY PSN being the network with fundamental flaws that it's actually only see IPv4 addresses. So essentially, if it's a large ISP doing it (like NET Virtua) and if they put put lots of users with infected PC with DDoS viruses and even lots of legit PSN users under the same IP, SONY will ban this IP automatically.

When being IP banned even the page account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com will throw a Access Denied error.
