is there a problem?

i dont have a ps3 yet , got a 360 and wii and have been looking into gettng a ps3

but i have noticed here and on the official sony ps3 forums there have been a lot of complaints about disc read errors

is this a common problem or just a case of the squeeky wheel making the most noise?

i got a ps3 a couple weeks ago and mine has been perfect..

i highly doubt the ps3 disc read errors are more common then the red ring of death. 360 has a 30 percent or higher failure rate the ps3 is .05. you do the math.
