Is there a reason why the overall PSN is kinda slow?

I'm not necessarily referring to online gaming (War-Hawk barley has any lag.) I'm referring to browsing online w/ the web browser. Also, I love the new PS Store...but Sony REALLY needs to address the thumbnail loading time. I realize that it's the first day and lots of ppl are hitting the PSN servers. I just don't understand why if you try to download a trailer, file, updates, etc...It takes soooo much longer than my PC that's connected to the same Cat5 cable.

Ya, it would be nice if it were faster.

I agree, its a lot slower than before. Loading up the actual items isnt too bad but loading the thumbnails is ridiculously slow. Other than that its a really nice update. Hopefully they should adress the thumbnail issue soon.

It's probably temporary, since we're like 1 day off the upgrade, people are probably hammering it. I was browsing it at 6am, and found no slowdown, browsing was quick.

Well I dont really know why maybe because since its new and everyone is on it at the sametime that could be a factor but it probably isn't I would give a few days when the hype dies down and by then either it was all the ppl flooding it or sony will come out with a patch to fix it. I seldomly go on the ps store anyway so don't bother me that much.

I never really had any speed issues till today, DL'ed the AC4A demo off the Japanese Store and it took ages, Sony asaid they would upgrade their servers and i'm sure they will, they're gonna need one hell of an online service once Home comes out.

I would guess it is because everyone is downloading the firmware update and checking out the new store.
