You need to obtain a wireless connection, buy a one from some store like best buy, then click on the internet option on the PSP. It will ask you for a connection and scan for a new one. When you find one save it and use it

To be fair, it is quite hard not to notice that the PSP has network capabilities. The only way you could not know would be if you didnt read the box, or manual, and didnt notice the entire section of the XMB dedicated to Network, the first option on that being Internet. But to actually be helpful, it doesnt matter that youre PC doesnt have WiFi, few do, i assume you have the internet (broadband) in youre home, all you have to do is search on the PSP for a network if the box(router) supplied with your net connection has wireless. If not buy a wireless one, and switch them around. If you have trouble with that ask someone in the shop you buy the router from for help (after reading the manual carefully of course) although sometimes shop assistants in tech shops have a surprisingly high level of technical ineptitude.
well for tech savy people, what you need is a windows mobile cellfone with a wireless chipset, a few registry tweaks or a program which you can easily find and a unlimited data rate plan and you can turn the the fone into mobile hotspot, i use it to ad-hoc my laptop when im on the road and while i havent tried it yet (my psp is being repaired) my friend says he has no problems using it

Ahh don't worry there's always a first time. Get a wireless router or if you're looking for the cheaper alternative get a wireless USB adaptor (that's if you have an internet-enabled PC).
yeah, it made me smile, but not quite a laugh outa me that easy.
seriously, what do people think the WLAN button on the top means? and you could read the owners manual...........dang........that does sound really hard to do.
the wireless internet actually works pretty good for how much the psp costs. but not all internet sites will work very well (since it's not running IE or Mozilla Firefox)
