I know this will probably sound dumb but after having problems with my 360 and with customer service (4 times they didn't give me a label I could read, and their only advice was to wait 24 hours each time) I am wanting to switch to PS3. The only problem with this is that I have so many 360 games I still play (more then 10 easily) and I know that if I try to trade them in at like Gamestop and get the PS3 equivalent games I will lose 100sin the process (maybe more). So does anyone have any advice on how one might do this cheapy or at least cheaper then that? I wouldn't suppose anyone would offer a service where I could just trade them and maybe pay a little in the process...?

You can always save then purchase. Then you'll have both so you don't have to get rid of the games you alike to play on the other console.

Yea, the only problem there is that I still lose 230 to 300 dollars, when I don't really play any exclusives for either system (don't play Halo, MSG, or GT). Still might be my best option but it is expensive. I suppose if I consider that a PS3 is still one of the cheapest blu-ray players, it isn't so bad... but still for someone just out of college and in between jobs, its a lot of money.

Yea, times are hard with all these consoles and stuff costing a lot especially with the PS3s price drop and such. Well, I hope someone can help you with your decision. :)

Not really going to get your collection back, I recently traded my Xbox 360 elite with 10 games like RE5, CoD4, Gears 1, Gears 2, Prototype, Skate 2, UFC, L4D, Dead Space, and GTA4 with wireless adaptor, battery recharge kit, and all the stuff and was able to get the PS3 and Resistance 2, MGS4, and Little Big Planet with one Blue Ray. I plan on gett back RE5, Dead Space, and Skate 2 though. Some how.

On swaptree.com you can put up games and trade them for others. You could try to trade some of your 360 games for PS3 games. I mean you'd still have to buy the PS3 but it would save you money on games.
