one's slimmer, less shiny, and can't stand vertically without a proprietary stand. the other is fatter, time tested, and looks like a machine that might have once costed 600 dollars.
The slim is slimmer (obviously), quiter, and you cannot install Linux on it. The Slim is actually a small bit faster than the original because of an improved processor. I would post a link to prove it but I can't find the site I saw the video on.
the old one looks a lot better. and i mean A LOT. the new one looks really cheap and tacky and it also cant stand up unless you pay extra for the stand.
I think the slim is much faster then the old phatty.I bought one right when they came out and traded in my old 20 gig for it.It was well worth it in my opinion.
Is there any difference between ps3 and ps3 slim or is the ps3 slim just smaller and thinner???

that's it, also it's quieter, though what some people might tell you, it can stand vertically, though it won't be as safe as with the old model that it's like a tank
