I am playing RFOM online but if I play in games bigger than 18 people their is serious lag and I usually get kicked out.  I have DSL 100 mbps internet speed can I install the games to the harddrive or something to fix the problem?

Help please

100 mbps DSL you say? Hehe, alright I'll humor you. Are you playing through a wireless router or using an ethernet cord?

Alright, but are you plugging that cable into a router or modem?

I am guessing that when he says 100mb/s he means 100kb/s.  And you are right that DSL can only achieve the 6mb/s mark.

EDIT: I didn't actually post a comment on the topic, so here it is.  From the information you have provided I think that it is you who is lagging and the servers are reacting to this by kicking you off so that it doesn't become an issue for everyone else.  I suggest either turning off all computers that use the same connection, fork up some extra cash for a better connection, or even invest in a better router.

Ok, go to network settings and test the connection.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what he means and it's not going to get any better for him. Sadly, he needs a faster connection. http://www.speedtest.net/ That might also help. Just take the test and tell us the results.

I have cable and that seems to do pretty good. Maybe you should switch (unless you're in an apartment complex).

Even in an appartment he should still be able to get cable.  DSL should work fine if you have all the right stuff.  100kb/s seems very slow though,  I hope he isn't paying more that $19.95(USD) a month for that kind of speed.
