Is This A Bad Sign?

I was playing Resistance 2 and my PS3 just turned off and the red light was blinking. I hit the power button and it went into stand by mode. I could turn it back on and everything. I had my PS3 in vertical so did it just overheat or something?

So if I just leave it for a while, it should be fine right?

like everyone else has been saying, thats overheating. Don't worry though, my brothers has overheated before and mine has once too, and its fine. I looked the vents...ton of dust. So I cleaned em out and seeing what happens...

EDIT: Well that worked for about 10 minutes before it shut off.

And this is why smart people clean their systems out once a month as well as backing up all their save data once a week. now you owe sony $150 and you lose everything.
