That one is not compat with the PS3, it has to be 2.5" not 3". Also it's fast and all but 300 GB for $300 is a rip, you can get a 320 GB internal for about $130.

It could work, with an external enclosure with its own power supply. Then get a SATA wire a put it into the PS3, but I don't know if it's worth the price, It is fast but will the ps3 be able to get the most of that speed, i don't know

Any 2.5" HDD (laptop) should work fine.
