well it doesnt mean there will be no multi tasking since you can go on the internet and look at your pictures or whatever but once you go into a game the download will pause and once you get out of the game it will resume but this can be fixed with another update so we can play games while things are downloading
I really dont care if I cant play an online game while its downloading, that would just cause lag. But I hope they make it where we can play offline modes and still get the downloads.
they can still make it download while playing online.. it's called QoS. Playing an online game never ever ever uses anywhere near 100k downloads.. most online gameplay is 15k to maybe 35-45k.. they then can utilize the rest of the Bandwidth for downloads.. it's just about how much the programmers are willing to do..
Two reasons why thats wrong: For one they arent releasing a 1.6 updat i believe they are just going to release a 2.00 update next. And second the ps3 reserves 96 mb for the os.... although i dont even care if i can download in a gasme this article is false
yeah, I totally forgot the fact that one SPE is devoted to running the OS at all times, therefore that article can't be accurate. Anyway, I'm just hoping to be able to listen to my music while playing games, especially racing titles.
actually i dont know how true that article is but i know the next update to involve background updating will be like that, you wont be able to download and play games at teh same time. That is what i heard a while ago.
despite what everyone says about that article, it isn't the only source on the net that's spewing that news of background downloading only active while not in-game. Many other PS3 blogs/news sites have said the same thing...it's allj ust speculation since it isn't out but it isn't exactly a stretch for it to be true. Let's just hope it isn't.
this seems real fake!!! (and what's this panda pic for anyway?) the next update is 1.54. We don't know what the next update will be called (1.55, 1.60, 2.00, 8.57 ???) and what will be in. The problem of not being able to download and play at the same time is just reality, not coming from a bad update ... This article seems like XBOX360 (can't say the real name) fanboys garbage to destroy PS3's image.
