So I found a PhotoFast CR-5400 on eBay that costs 5 USD. Here is the link:

How much should it cost? Is 5 USD too cheap for it to be genuine? Or no?

Look at the country, if it says Hong Kong, don't even think about it. If it's from the US or other you're usually fine, but I'd be a little suspicious about a really low price.

And how long has it been? My MS was useless a year after, and so was the battery in the "refurbished" PSP I bought on ebay(this was from the US as well). I'm never buying from Hong Kong again, and if I see very low prices again, I will try and verify the quality of the item. If you can, study all the labeling and placement of logos. If everything looks the same as an actual model of the item, go for it, worst case, you've only lost 5 bucks. Best case, you got yourself a great deal. You can check your card's validity by pressing triangle, under MagicGate, it should say supported. If it says "unknown", that means the card is a fake.

i have a psp battery from HK for 3 years now, some games i ordered new/sealed from there, ps3 controller about 2 months ago (not fake, original but i got it very cheap), 2 controllers for x360 about half a year ago, action figures 2 years and a year ago..... all from HK. and i have zero problems with anything from that
