Is uncharted 3 the best looking game on consoles?

Easily the best.

People gonna say I'm a fanboy but... meh..

I just want to say I got both Gears of War 3 and Uncharted 3...
Both games has equal graphics to me...
Some moments when blood spills and some toxics are on floor or some smoke floats in the air... its just so good I think they look better than on ps3 any game.
But Uncharted 3 is a really nice game and good looking..

Both has pros and cons...
So It's a DRAW for me :)
They both are greatest.

To me it is. At least to me, there are times where the game looks like the CGI in past gens.

I don't know about ever, Crysis on the PC is amazing. And there's a ridiculously good mod for GTA IV on the PC that makes the game look photorealistic. But as far as consoles go, yes, I think Uncharted 3 is the best looking game.

I meant on video game system console. I have no idea about pc games because I don't play them.

In terms of in-game visuals, yes. The graphics engine in UC3 is top notch and the art and textures, modelling, lighting, effects and anti-aliasing creates an amazing level of detail in both the overall environment and characters (particularly the close-ups), bordering on realistic in a few scenes but for the most part still shows its animated core. Single player is also one of the best, if not the best, stereoscopic 3D games on consoles.

A close second technically is Gran Turismo 5 for its near photo realism with some tracks & cars (and like UC3 one of the best in 3D).Gears of War 3 on Xbox 360 is also excellent but lacks slightly in overall polish and looks more animated. Honorable mentions: Alan Wake, GOW2, Forza 4, God of War 3, Uncharted 2, Mass Effect 2, Battlefield 3. There are many others behind these that are alsovery good.

In my opinion, YES, it is the best looking console game. Uncharted 2 is an amazing looking game. But I believe Uncharted 3 looks even better. The environments are so beautiful. Really enjoying it :)

It always depends on how you want to measure it. What differentiates UC3 and makes it so good visually is the amount of detail, not so much its polygon count or AA and so forth. I know ND touted how difficult it was to make sand look like sand and it looks unbelievable, but chapter 12 (Abducted) of the campaign is what made my jaw hit the floor as the water altered the environment and battlefield and allowed you to swim in it and fire from it. The fact that ND could render that blew my mind.

If you ask on consoles, it's better suited for System Wars, but I would say it's def. amongst the best ^^

It certainly looks better than the console version of Battlefield 3, that's for sure.

I must be blind..I really don't see that much of a difference between U2 and U3. Well except for the character faces are better, and now they have some seriously weird looking eye balls. Over all, except for better lighting effects, the rest of the game looks like U2 to me.

So basically...it's still a very good looking game, but not the best. Gears 3 looks better, Batman AC looks better, and many parts of Rage look better. Of course just my opinion.

Gears of War 3 looks dated. I am not impressed visually by it at all. Uncharted 3 is the best looking video game on a console right now and I highly doubt that xbox360 is powerful enough to handle Uncharted 3 type of game. Uncharted 2 used 25 GB on disc and Uncharted 3 is using 50 GB. There is a lot more detail and work put in Uncharted 3 than Gears of War 3 that uses like 7 GB..... 50 GB > 7 GB

I don't think so. It's certainly one of the best-looking games of all time though, especially with the amazing lighting effects that make the outside environments look even better!

Personally, I think Killzone 2 has the best graphics I've ever seen.

I'm not sure about Uncharted 3, but God of War 3 looks quite a lot better than Uncharted 2... The visuals in GOW3 are just impossible.

Yeah i was at my mates place in Canterbury and he had this huge 3D TV. Got to try out Uncharted 3 and Killzone 3, really amazing

Tough call. But, I think UC3 has the edge over UC2. I'd like to post some of my KZ3 screencaps. But, they're in SD format unlike my UC screenies.

I experienced Uncharted 3 and Killzone 3 in 3D. It was a really amazing thing to see and try, all games next gen should come with 3D standard :p

Between UC3 and KZ3? Tough call. But, I still like UC3 better. The vividness and crispness of UC3 gives it the edge for me.
