Is warranty necessary?

I'm planning on buying the ps3 after having 2 dead xbox 360, but now with my 360 experience I feel afraid with more console deads.

So, should I buy the warranty for the ps3? where do I buy it?(Best Buy I guess )

Experts already said the ps3 has a life expetancy of 10-12 years if it is not over used.fistoflight

PS3's are reliable right out of the box + you have Sony 1 year warranty. I shouldnt worry to much about anything happening to it, although i did get an extra warranty.

Its just a good thing to get since you never know what can happen...i highly recommend it.
