Is your PS3 still playing dvds ok since v1.92 update?

I've just tried a blu ray title+Ps3 froze up with blank black screen on my hd tv.Then only way i could shut it down was at rear on/off switch.

Thought i'd try a normal dvd title+exactly the same-HELP?

Was working perfectly ok before the latest update.

OK I think-just worked out that it was because i was downloading some demos from PSN+would seem that PS3 wont d.load+play a dvd at same time.I put d.loads on pause,tried both blu ray+dvd disc again+both will now play.

I don't know if this was the case previous to v1.92 update,because i didn't have my PS3 hooked up to net+PSN to try it.

mine aint playing DvD's either and theres no point calling sony its just best 2 wait 4 another updateWhiteknight19

Mine works. Just put in a Blu Ray movie and it played. Didn't try a regular DVD though.InfamousM

whenever i download something and i try to to watch a dvd or blu ray, the downlaod stop since the ps3 logs u out of psn whenever u watch a dvd or blu ray.

True... forgot about that.

Yea sounds like yours is ok-mine just froze up with black/blank tv screen+only way i could power off was at rear switch.Have just tried the very same 2 dvds with downloads paused+works ok that way.sizzlingdviper

i strongly advise you to call sony help line i am sure they got a solution for you, i m sure it will be faster than trying to troubleshoot ur problem on this forum

clearing the cache is only for the web broswer
