Try blowdrying it. I would tell you to open it up and dry out the internals but that would void your warranty and you might be screwed. The best you can do for now is blowdry it as good as you can and take out the battery immediately.

my friend accidently pulled the wire for the charger while the psp was plugged in and the psp fell and got a big crack in the screen. he said it cost him $90 to get it fixed. but for water damage it may be a bit more since it probably affected the inside. but dont tell sony you dropped it in the toilet cuz they may not want to touch it :P

Gross.  Would you even want to touch the thing after it's been in the toilet?

But if you don't care about that, just let it dry out.  I did my laundry with my samsung phone inside one of my jeans and it worked after I let it dry for a week.

Wow, in the potty... Here's to hoping, right?  If it ends up working, you have to post again to let us know!

I may be too late, but whatever you do, DONT turn on the psp when its wet inside, you'll just mess up the circuit board inside and then it will never work. Just take out the battery, maybe take off the cover, dry it off completely then try it. It should work after that.

Eww now when it dries itll be a cesspool of bacteria and dried toilet germs. Itll probably have a slightly powdery coating when it dries too.

If the only problem is the water then just let it dry and it'll be fine. If there's more physical damage then I don't know.

if you are under warranty you can send the psp to Sony and get it fixed for free if it is not under warranty it should cost between $100-$300

Okay do this, this worked when I accidently jumped in my friends pool when I had my ds in my pocket

  1. Open everything, the umd tray, the battery cover and battery
  2. put it on a towel and let it dry by itself
  3. after like 3 days close everything then towel dry if you need to
