Well, i can see im not alone here, though most of you do it the right way.
I still have Vanquish, Castlevania Lords of Shawdow, Bulletstorm, Dead Space 2, and Infamous 2 to play.......and i still want to buy new games too. If i could just resist buying new games for a year i might actually finish these off.

I can't speak on the first 3 (though I enjoyed their demos and plan to pick them up down the road), but Dead Space 2 and inFamous 2 were both excellent. The improved combat mechanics, cutscenes, and storytelling in both made them hard to put down. Both I feel were noticeable improvements over their previous games.
As for me, I used to be a "one game at a time" kind of guy. A lot of that had to do with the fact that I didn't have a job at the time, so when I bought a game I played the hell out of it.
Now that I have a steady job again and money to spare I find myself buying more and more games to the point where some get shelved for months in lieu of new games that I've been anticipating more. I'm actually looking forward to December as there's nothing I intend to buy, I'm moving into a new place of my own (no one to bother me / bother), and I can catch up on my backlog. The most important thing is not to force yourself to do anything you don't want to. That's a surefire way to get burned out on anything.
Currently I'm juggling the Battlefield 3 MP beta (ends tomorrow), the Uncharted 3 MP demo, RAGE, Crysis 1 (STILL haven't finished C2, so I'll probably finish C1 first then go back), and I was in the middle of Resistance 3 co-op campaign on Superhuman with a friend and messing with the MP for that. Batman: Arkham City is my next pickup followed by Battlefield 3. It's a shame, because I just bought the Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection and it's gonna end up shelved for now along with the God Of War Collection, God Of War III, BioShock 2, Demon's Souls, SOCOM 4, and Fallout: New Vegas.
