I would think the manual that comes with the PS3 describing the procedure would be the only official word anyone would need.

Wow thats great to know. But I have a short attention span and wont remember how to install it. Thats why Im so glad that ITS IN THE F@#%ING MANUAL THAT COMES WITH THE SYSTEM! This is worse then the "do I need internet to play online" thread. Grow a brain people!

OMFG, r u serious, coming from a 360 guy... WOW. Welcome to the real world, where M$ is a ripoff selling you overpriced HDD's, while the other system can be upgradable using a cheap 160gb HDD.
