I know that most of you are worried about the future of Playstation 3. I also know that most of you don't care about what happens, as long as you get to play games on all 3 consoles. The truth is, people are genuinely worried if buying a PS3 was a waste of money and the negative media and the fanboy's ignorant comments constantly coming aren't helping that at all. If we lose faith now, we may never get it back, and that is what will truly kill the PS3. So let's unite and say, "We lost DMC4 as an exclusive. Big deal. Was that supposed to hurt us?"Â I don't care if you agree with me or not, but basically what I am trying to say is we need to stick together as PS3 supporters, not fanboys.

We may have lost few of our leading top fighters(games) but who held up the battle against the giant mech of Liquid Snake? wasn't it US, the gamers? for the Ps3 is an honorable console. This garbage talk is fed by going on forums and gaming websites too much. This always went on with older consoles, who cares? A multi-billion dollar company like Sony would clearly have aces up their sleeves. They're not some noobs. It's all a big business. Just give it time. Yeah, and people act like every single gamer are on these forums, there are a lot of other gamers out there other than here. I got a PS3 since that's where Final Fantasy and Metal Gear are going to be. Not to mention the variety in games, 360 is very one dimensional when it comes to that, most only consist of shooting. I like more than just that.
True I am a PS3 supporter. Sony is too big of a company to be taken down by losing one or two games. The more we lose the more we will get, like the saying goes"Give a little then TAKE a little.

I know exactly what you mean,i've stated this before,DMC will sell but it wont have a major impact on the Ps3 in the long run. Games like GTA have an impact,those are the games which sell over 7 million copies on 1 outing.

Im not worried because I know nothing will happen to them. They are far from Dying. Sega died because they were covered of crap up to their eyeballs. As long as the games I want still are available, PS 3 is more than a great console to me.
besides, something else, we all remeber the thing that its supposed that PS 3 can be upgraded right, I dont know if its true, but if it is, then Sony can keep the PS 3 for 10 years until PS 4. Making it the cheap option for next gen
Sony still has alot to offer.. not even eveyone knows its maximum capability.. i just wish sony would let other devs .. (meaning go open source in a sort of way) ponder it's inside works.. i think creativity with this possibility shouldn't be called creativity.. something like playstaticity. >_>
PS3 is a great system, and will have great software exclusives. If all the negativity is bothering you, I'd suggest you stay off Video Game websites, and in particular, video game forums.

Oh my what a big difference from the 400 dollar 360 (I know nobody purchased the $300 core because that's a waste of money); and if u are regretting your purchase now maybe you should of thought a little harder before getting one, no? PS3 owners listen well to my words: DMC4 is still on the PS3 and it will come out at the same or similar time with 360 so you’ll have to WAIT anyway, does that make sense? Yes now it seems that you could have purchased a 360 for $200 less and still played the same game, but that is extremely ignorant thinking, especially because Oblivion was on the 360 and people waited for it to be on the PS3, same with R6 Vegas, and other titles in the future so obviously people can choose which system they want to buy games for. So in the long run you should ask yourself how much money is $200 really, because one thing for sure, system power, potential and media wise the PS3 is already the champ, and please don't deny it 360 and Wii fans, it's true. I think people panic because they wanna cling to titles they recognize, when no one knows what other new titles will be created because they don't exsist. Like Resistance, fantastic game no one dreamed would exsist a year or more ago. Look at LittleBigPlanet and how good it looks, or Home itself.
DMC being only on PS3 would have been best for the PS3 but it hardly breaks the camel's back.

I bought a PS3 because it has/will have more games I want than anything else. DMC 4 is still on it, so I'm not the least bit upset about owning it. All these threads are retarted.

here's a quote from a blog i wrote just now: It is true, it is a very dark day having lost one of our greatest to the likes of Micro$oft, but we are not beaten. Beaten is just what they want from us. However, we are a Playstation family. We have never given up hope and theres no reason to now. We still have greats like God of War 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Final Fantasys XIII and Versus XIII. Also, Grand Turismo, Killzone 2, Ratchet and clank, the naughty dog game, Lair, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm and Resistance. Together our family is more than enough to defeat Micro$oft and Halo 3, Gears of War 1 & 2, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Alan Wake, Fordza Motor Sport and Blue Dragon.

I own a Wii and I admit I'm a Nintendo fan, but I thought I'd give a quick look at what the PS3 community's status is like. Nintendo for me comes first, but Sony comes in second (at least the last gen, I still have yet to decide for this one) While the future of the PS3 may look bleak, here are a several factors you should account for that may keep it buoyant:
1) People here buy the PS3 because its got a Blu-Ray Player, and there's a steady rise of people owning HDTVs. 2) PS3 owners tend to buy a lot of Blu-Ray movies. Games, not initally, but since Blu-Ray movie sales have gone up, this is good news to Sony because they can get profit back for it. For every company that puts their movies on Blu-Ray, Sony charges them a liscensing fee, which, in the long run, really helps out. 3) People just seem to find it cool that they have a PS3. To them, I guess it puts them up the social ladder. Of course, the majority of these are the "bling-bling" rapper-wannabes, not hardcore gamers. 4) Despite a lot of abysmal reviews and bad rap, people do plan on buying a PS3 in the future anyways. There are two factors from keeping them from doing it (myself included): the price tag. Technically all the features, gears, and everything on the PS3 makes it a great deal, but $600 is still a bit much for anyone's pocket. The second is the Blu-Ray/HD-DVD format war. While Blu-Ray sales are better than HD-DVD, but the war is still far from over. People would not like to waste money on a format that ends up not replacing DVDs in the end, so it's a risk some people aren't willing to take.
