Apparently this autumn ITV are going to add ITVplayer to the ps3 and Channel 4 will be adding 4OD. The timings good as well as since for some reason 4OD can't be watched on youtube atm as it says a flash upgrade is required. Anyway, just thought i'd share!

Firstly, ITVPlayer is confirmed as coming. A quick search of Gamespot's Gmaescom coverage confirms this:

4od is still a rumour, but given that ITV and BBC have now moved onto PS3, it seems logical that Channel 4 will follow.

I'm at uni using a Pc Monitor to play my Ps3 to avoid Tv Liscence.......So this is freaking awesome, I mean I never watch channel 5 anyway so I've all my Tv needs and I watch all my music on VidZone so I don't need music channels.

You do know that you don't need a TV licence unless you use it for watching standard TV channels, right? Playing games, watching DVDs while using a TV doesn't require any kind of licence.

If the Tv has the ability to pick up a Signal then they charge you for the tv liscence....I asked the inspector dude when he was checking are halls.

Strange, when I rang customer services to set up my licence the woman said "as long the coax cable isn't plugged in you will not be charged for a liecence, using it for DVDs and video games is perfectly okay."

ITV player is confirmed but I really hope that 4OD is true too. Much more interested in channel 4 programmes than anything on ITV.

This is true for me too, we were told that if we weren't using it for TV (which I wasn't, I didn't have an aerial) you don't have to pay a penny. They could get tetchy and take you to court over it but as long as you've not used it for watching TV they'd never win. :)
