Oblivion, Motorstorm just to name two for the PS3. Also there are a few good games coming out next month, R6 Vegas, The Darkness.

PS2, Final Fantasy XII, God of War (1/2) as far as the PS2 lineup goes, its pretty large so theres no issues about finding good games on the PS2.

i like FPSs. is oblivion that good? looking at the trailer, it's pretty stupid. i mean, what exactly do u do in the game?

I personally love Oblivion. It's great fun and you can really do anything in the game. I don't know any other way to explain it. There is a main story quest you can follow, but you can opt not to and explore the (literally) thousands of other dungeons, or talk to different people and get a multitude of quests and do anything. Mix different plants and ingredients to make potions, make your own spells, and enchant your weapons.
Its quite a large and vast game. You can't go wrong with it, if you have qualms about the game, try see if you can rent it.

Motorstorm is great fun. I don't get race games for any of my systems, bar Gran Turismo, I got Motorstorm and think it's a blast. It's so much fun, and pretty challanging in the 2nd half of the game. Online is great as well and there is a new update coming soon to add a few features and fix a couple bugs.

Motorstorm isn't bad. The only big knock against is the lack of an offline multiplayer. This will be added later.

I cant wait for Socom Confrontation.

They said its focused on multiplayer and they'll add new content every now and then.

Warhawks another one and its coming out this fall I think.

If you are into FPS then Oblivion is not far off. The first few hours of gameplay seems rather slow but it will totally get you hooked after that, more than 200 hours of gameplay, great graphics, challenging missions and just the sheer freedom on what you want to do in the game makes it a worthwhile game to play while waiting for future game releases.

I love playing oblivion so much that I have a case of sleep deprivation. Damn you Oblivion!!!, damn you for being so good.
