Well i need a new PSP game for my class trip and i hear all this hype about FF: CC. Well I have never played a FF game before. Ive never been a huge RPG fan, but i really got into Fable. Will I like FF: CC? or would my money be better spent on some other game?

Any Recommendations for good games? I had a PSP and sold it, then bought a slim recently so games of any age are fine.

I don't recommend FF: CC.

Its not even a "real" Final fantasy.

Its not turn based, the combat sucks.

The story is okay, it deserves a 6.5/10.

Get disgeae afternoon of darkness, jeanne d'arc or something like that.

The combat in crisis core is annoying, but i'd reccomend it over something like disgaea. Crisis core has decent graphics, its the prequel to ff7 so there are some good characters. Great music, and good voice acting. Its a complete package and is well worth playing through. Its nothing like fable, but you should still like it.

Different opinions here i thought FF:Crisis core is one of the best games ive played this year

U dont really have to have played eariler FF to get into this one.

The combat i think is fun its button mashy and easy to get into it gets fairly deep as you get to learn new moves and get to fuse materia which there is like over 60 skills in the game. Woth at least 40+ hours of gameplay including side missions

Graphics are also very good one of the best in the hardware and the story is also good

Only problem really is that u dont have control over lvling ur character and it can get repetitive

i finished the game and i give it a 8.5/10

I'm glad you gave the game an honest score. I agree with that. What annoyed me with the combat was the "modulating phase". Every five seconds the game pauses and you have to wait for the reel. You can attack again, only for the damn thing to start again. It kind of ruined the combat for me.

yea i forgot to mention that. the modulating phase does get annoying if it comes up too often i think i would have given the game a 9 it you had more control over it such as limit breaks and lvl

Disgeae has ton of replay value, good graphics(for its art style), great voice acting, likeable characters, its fun and and has a good story.

To me, the combat and story have always been the two most important thing in Final fantasy games and crisis core fails hard combat-wise. With only a story and graphics to back it up, its just not fun.

If they would have stuck with a good turn-based combat, then if might have been fun.

crisis core has got to be one of the best games ive played on the psp in a long time id say you shuld have more control over the DMW and the game should be a bit longer but other than that its a game id reccomend with a superb score (9.0/10)

I enjoyed Crisis Core quite a bit. It is not without issues, but it is great for folks that don't have hours on end to spend playing games. The quick missions also provide a quick fix if you only have a few minutes on the bus or on the train, etc to game.

I'm currently playing Final Fantasy I Anniversary Edition on PSP and am Diggin' it. The first FF is one of the few I've never played. (1,2 & 5)

If you dig Fable, Dungeon Siege may be up your alley. I've only played it for about an hour, but I dug what I played.
