My life is now complete. Haha, really good news and as mentioned above I hope this is an indication for Jak 4.
Never played any of the games in the series but I'll go out and pick this collection up since I hear a lot of good things!
It has. I remember seeing a few select articles on it.This has been confirmed for months hasn't it? Anyways, Jak II is awesome and so are the other games but after the second game their story was just all over the place. I hope this is foreshadowing a Jak 4 cause they need to bring the series a proper closure.

Finally the PS3 will have some amazing platforming games. I have lost interest in Ratchet but the original Jak and Daxter games were best platforming games Ive played -especially the first one- since the 2D Sonic titles.
Soon as we can set pre-orders, I'm dropping $40 down instantly. Can't wait.
Now after this let's see Jak 4 and Ratchet & Clank HD, Sony. :)
I never played Jak and Daxter. It's kind of like Banjo-Kazooie? Is it quite linear like Crash Bandicoot? I guess I will peek a review. I still have interest in the Sly collection as well, but there are too many other current games right now for me to go back to the PS2 era consistently. I will definately play Sly before the end of the gen and maybe this collection as well since I have heard nothing but praise.
The only PS2 collection I will be picking up day one that I know of is the Silent Hill 2&3 remasters. Those are quite possibly my favorite single player games that I remember from last gen, so with HD, a big TV, trophies, and the Sony Wireless Headphones, the experience is going to be that much better!

You almost can't be dissapointed. The first game is near the peak of 3D platforming video games, and the second and third only expand upon its greatness.
