Japanese Final Fantasy XIII Opinion

Just wanted to know everyones thoughts on the just released FFXIII in Japan.

Who will be importing and who will be waiting till next year?

I can wait another 3 months.

I want to play it but I have no problems waiting until March 9th. After all there are a lot of good games coming out that can hold me up until FFXIII release date.

I just got my copy along with the Lightning PS3 like 20 minutes ago. I have no intention of playing the game though.

My copy just shipped from Play-Asia alittle while ago, so I should have it on Monday. Not sure if I am going to play it yet or wait until I beat the English version first.FlamesOfGrey

It doesn't. My friend bought the game and he said there are none. I expected there wasn't going to be any, so I wasn't surprised.

I really want one, its weird that play asia had some awhile ago but when I add them to the cart it says its empty.

It does make sense in a way (marketing wise)? As wouldnt it hurt some sales in the US/EU? If the game had english subs i would more than likely just go grab the Japanese version. But i know having english voice overs are good but sometimes the voice acting can be dull - cant say anything bout FFXIII as the english voice acting might be great!

No, I don't know Japanese at all but I import games all the time. I mainly import games that don't get a stateside release. In this case, however, I just want to play FF XIII with the Japanese dialog (Sucks that SE are not including the Japanese dialog as they were originally considering), so that's why I will probably wait until I beat the N.A. version first.

I understand Japanese and have played all FFs in Japanese since FF5. I told my cousin to get it for me so hopefully ill have it by Christmas. Already played the demo, was pretty fun,obviously it was the very beginning of the game so there wasn't much you could do in the battles.

Do you know if they will have a bundle like this in the US.

my problem with the game (and SE) is that it went multiplatform by lying to the players (first : the game is not under development for X360 yet, then X360 development will begin after the game is released on PS3 ...).

I'll only buy the game if it's obvious the game wasn't downgraded to fit the inferior machine

It should have been a PS3 exclusive. Then we would have had it by now. But no Enix just wants to screw us. It will probably become a media core game anyway. Everyone know it was downgraded but Enix never wants to admit it. stealthsneeker

No i'm waiting till the U.S. release, very anxiously though. The only thing I ever imported was a Japanese N64 about 6 months before the U.S. release, my buds and I had fun trying to figure out what the hell to do in Mario 64 and Pilotwings:lol: but we got it.

As for importing the game or not, im def gunna wait for the NA release cuz im so excited to experience this game that i wanna be completely immersed when i play it and the language barrier wont allow for this if i import it

Hoping for a cool special edition to come out here.
