I JUST bought my 1st ps3!!!!!!! I was so happy... i connected it to my monitor, to the internet and everything!!! BUT THEN... when i inserted the game disc it didnt receive it?????? WTF? am i doing something wronG? i mean i try to push it in... but it doesnt receive it... it only makes a sound i cant recognise and doesnt take it in... am i supposed to insert it through some angle? or is it faulty?

Sounds like something is wrong with the drive. Exchange it.

btw... the problem is that it doesnt take it in at all... not that it does but then doesnt read it... it simply doesnt go in... the machine doesnt "absorb" it ... i dont know how else to say it.. ru sure it means its faulty?

Thats what I thought of haha.. but i've never heard of a disc drive NOT receiving a disk... that sucks.

ok does the ps 3 go on for you see the cross media bar. meaning did you turn it on before trying. turn on the switch in the back ect.

i now these are redarded questions and im not saying you dumb enough to do this but sometimes people just plug the mechine in then try to put it in without hitting the back switch and the touch botton. so please don't be mad at me for asking those questions.

Just go to where you bought it and explain the situation. it's better to get rid of the problem now then to deal with it later. cuz this may happen again.

i'm sure you've tried to slowly slide it in, right? (By slowly i mean very slowly)

And if the PS3 turns off when you try inserting then it's gotta be a problem.

You have all of the correct cables connected, and you can see the PS3 turn on and go into the XMB and stuff right?

You sure he knows what a blue light really is lol. Yea it means a disc is in it thow. Not a prob. I mean it could be a prob yea. If you try and stick in another.
