Jrpg. where did they go??

Hey all, my first post on this forum so be gentle with me:) And btw english isnt my native language so sry for any mispelling...

Anyway, since the days of PS1 i have wanted to buy one, but for a number of diffrence reasons i have never done it. But the other day i got a really good offer on a ps3 and since i also have ok with money now i decided to buy one:)The console wont arrive before thursday so spent the last days reading up on games to the ps3 and one thing worries me, what excactly happened to all the jrpg games and rpg in general... Besides heavenly sword (and enchancted arms which looks really bad) i cant find any rpg games out there? I know ff13 is due in a few months but well what happened to the ton of jrpg which is out for the ps2?? why havent they made the same array of games to ps3?:)

And another question, my ps3 will come with motorstorm and resitance, besides that i am currently planning on getting folklore, what other games out there should i keep my eyes on when i mainly prefer rpg games and platform?:) Love fps aswell but well have my pc for that...

i think there are a lot of us in the same boat as you, i know i am. It took years and years for all of those great rpg games to come out on the other systems. Another problem is that a lot of developers are still making rpgs for the ps2. But dont worry i saw screens for Disgaea 3! and ff is on the way. So give it time my friend and we will be happy! Now go get Disgaea hour of darkness for ps2 and play that untill some new rpgs come out!smallfry506

Heavenly Sword isn't an RPG, by the way.

Also look out for Star Ocean 4 in the future.

and they suck, coming from a current 360 owner, this is another major reason why Ill be getting a ps3 when the price cuts confirmed, I miss good RPG's and the ps2 had like a dozen of em.

sorry im not 100% sure on that... hot114 reccomended some of my other favorites too. The only reason i stress the Disgaea games is because there is just so much to do. Every item u collect has its own world inside it. 100 levels to be exact, and when you find out that your too strong you can actually pettition for stronger enemies! lol. so imho it has the best bang for the buck! either way with the ones these guys have reccomended you cant go wrong...

NIS america/Level 5/atlus and other makers always want to try something new with a new system. the understanding of what they can do and not do, as well as the ideas the developers have take lots of time. but yeah like everyone says be patient theyre coming.

JRPGs are always the ones to come out later than sooner. Also it has been tradition for past 10 years or so, that JRPGs starts flooding in after Final Fantasy game has been released on the platform.
