jsut bought Resistence...did i make a mistake??

when i first bought the ps3 i bought it for bluray movies (main priority), and i do most of my gaming on the PC or 360.

i know that resistence is kinda old now, but i saw it for 30 dollars online and i couldnt resist it, so i bought it. now im kinda worried...is there still a lot of people that play this game online? im pretty sure i will enjoy the single player, but are there still lots of player for multiplayer? thanks

yea, still plenty online, the single player is very satisfying. they are adding multiplayer maps to the store soon.

For 30 it would be well worth it just for single player. Last time I was online there were tons of rooms up with lots of people online. It's a very fast paced online game.

I got this game for my birthday and the single player is awesome. The multiplayer is great, always tons of folks to play with.

WOW i seriously had no idea that this many ppl were still playing....i mean i downloaded the demo on the psn, and i thoguht it was pretty intense. the graphcis are very nice, but what amazed me was the amount of debris flying around..it kinda gave it that war/gritty scenery.

i NEVER doubted how good the game is/was, the only thing i was worried about was the amount of players online. i assumed that most ppl that bought this game at launch would be done with it by now.

Also is there a huge learning curve? like can i expect to get my ass handed to me when i hop online?

the ranked match system usually pitches you into matches with other people in your general rank although you could find yourself in a match where your team consists of low ranking sgt's and privates and you go against a clan of 5 star generals meaning youll get utterypwned, but that doesnt happen very often. if you meet a player named poomnger613, brace yourself for a pwning.poomonger613

ahhahahah i will remember that name dude. anyways i was on the Resistence forums just reading some info, and came across something about parties? i guess people play in parties and you can also unlock skins???? that sounds awesome man. i cant wait to unlock a few skins. my only question is what the heck is a party?? is it basically a group of friends that play online together?

It's when you make up a group of friends and search matches so you can always be on the same team. Great for clan outings and what not

Yes you did a mistake......you should have bought it months ago....it is the best game on the PS3 right now!

so when i hop online there is a good chance that i will be playing against a group of friends?? i mean thats cool for them, but thats bad news for me, cause i only know 1 other person with a ps3.

Resistance online isnt one bit fun, most of the matches are 1 hit kills, lame and theres not much skill just run and gun holding in your r1 button the whole time. Im looking forward to RSV

No prob, the game is absolutely awesome! Single player is fantastic and I have played it through on Superhuman which is great training for online. I went on the other day after not playing it for almost a month and got my azz handed to me :D By the way before anyone tries to flame me, I was away doing some housesitting not ignoring my beloved PS3 :D

my god if you play online ur gonna get pwned the first few times. When you get the feel for it you start doign some damage but the first few weeks you play online you're gonna get your @$$ laid.

Oh and btw dont join custom matches, most of them are 1 hit KOs and Infinite ammo. Garbage servers ruin the game like that. Just stick with the ranked matches .

There's a surprising amount of skill involved with weapon choices and character abilities (Chimera's rage vs. Human's radar). Sure, n00bs can run 'n gun but that's not going to take down a skilled player.

heck 30 was a great deal, good job.. and with the maps coming out, a bunch of rusty players will come bak online and you can kill them easily!!!!!! lamplan

Dont worry, the server will let you play with people from your own skills (nobbs)

there are tons of ppl online and also world servers are coming for this game which increases the possible players you can play against exponentiallyzero_cool098
