Jumpin on the bandwagon - Sueing Sony is like a sport

After the many problems Sony has dealt with including Immersion, that Blu-Ray lawsuit, now a Church is offended by a game?

Is it becoming a popular thing to find any little thing about Sony that they can take legal action on? This is getting rediculous..

It's pretty funny, if only because of the absurd reasons. Anyway, brb, sueing sony for an NPC that vaguely resembles me in one of their games._Stuff_

Anyone else find it funny that the church suit surfaces directly after the announcement of over 1 mil PAL units?

I smell a rat in this law suit (Microsoft). I read an article where the porn industry was suing Sony because they would not allow them access to Blue-Ray technology. Where HD DVD did allow them access to there technology. Also there are a ton of Microsoft game titles that are more demoralizing than Sony titles. Look at how much garbage is coming through our email on a daily basis. With Sony there PSN Home they actually are able to control what is being sent out over there network.

I was just watching it on the news.Church of England is threatening to sue sony for the use of Manchester Cathedral in Resistance if no apology is given!!!Wow, Sony just couldn't catch a break.

This isn't surprising. I'm really sure that Sony gets sued all the time, its just with the console war raging on and more people playing video games is that it gets more publicity. How many crazy individual people do you think sue sony/microsoft/nintendo because they "stole" their idea, albeit these cases are often thrown out. Just a few weeks ago where I work at was sued because we had movies that were unrated (turistas, hostel, etc.) because it was "damaging" to the children.

So this is nothing new, its just getting the spotlight because it makes for interesting news.

UK? We didn't used to be like this. We caught the disease off a Western nation. There was a time when people would apologise and the otehr party would accept that as satisfaction...not anymore sadly :(

No I'm talking about America, not the U.K, I know because my family is from Europe and I go there a lot, nobody sues over there. UK usually never sues either. America sues if someone trips and scratches them selfs in somones property.

I am an a American and I think that these law suits are just a sign of how our society is going down hill at a alarming rate. I really don't believe in law suits unless there is a real injustice being done to another person or group. jimm895

There are also Canadians joining in the lawsuits. Don't forget about that. Of course canada is cool so I'll let it slide. This should be America's new Motto.

Oh and also on the note of the Porn being unable to be on the HD DVDs. I am a perv. Period. I have gigs of hentai and nude pics. I like porn. I'm not gonna go buy a 30 dollar Blue-Ray DVD. I mean rather than go through all that crap why don't they just offer sites where PS3 users can shop and download directly.

2. Discreet (not having to go into a store where everyone knows you)

3. Very little cost for production (I.E. blue ray is probably somewhat expensive to make)

4. Accessability

5. Variety

6. Able to reach their Target Audience.

Face it... people won't pay 700-800 dollars on just a blue ray player just for high definition smut. That what the seXbox 3crappy is for and also if they have THAT much money for porn, well... that's what bars, streetwalkers, and las vegas is for.

You just reminded me of a Top Gear episode where Jeremy Clarkson was going to give away a 91 Camaro in New Orleans to less fortunate families. At that point a lawyer came along and told him that it was actualy an 89 Camaro and that she was gonna sue him for misreprisentation unless he gave her $200.
