Just became a Vita Owner

Hey guys I'm new to the Vita forums and I just purchased a brand new vita on ebay for 200. Was wondering if there was anything I should know as far as set up/ best games to get first. Also does the system come with a memory card? PSN is nolson feel free to add me as i will want some vita friends on my list

Just got one today myself! I'll add you in a sec. I've got Madden 2013, Little Big Planet, and Final Fantasy VII off the store. Really enjoying all three so far, great system. Looking forward to Black Ops! Also, no it doesn't come with memory, you've gotta get it seperate.

Nice. I'm getting one too next month. Do PS3 friends automatically become Vita friends too when they each have one?

PSN is the same across all platforms, so yes (edit: just to be clear, your PS3 friends will show up on your Vita even if they don't have the system). Friends, messages, trophies, downloaded items, etc. it's all shared across systems as long as you're using the same PSN account.

The only quirk in how this is handled is visibility. From the Vita, you can see who is online anywhere, and you can see trophies from both the PS3 and the Vita. From the PS3 though, you only see who's online on a PS3, and you only see your PS3 trophies.

For what it's worth Walmart is having a b2g1 sale for 40$ which was a steal for 3 games i personally picked up Gravity rush, uncharted, and Hotshotsgolf. But stock varies in and out.

Get LBP. Do yo have other console? Because I'd advice you to also get Rayman since it's superb. Unit 13 is a surprisingly good game that will last some time if you care. Gravity rush is decent. I wouldn't pay full price for uncharted. Concernings smaller titles you should get Mutant Blobs and velocity which is a mini game. Played MGS? danish-death

I like Unit 13 and Mod Nation roadtrip so far the best. Note that Unit 13 comes with some possible crash warnings. The demo ran fine on my Vita. I bought the game, but I cant take the patch. If I take the patch, the game will crash. I havent seen any side effects of not taking the patch so far.

ModNation is better than the PS3 version as far as how the tracks race. I find I can enjoy the created tracks more.

I plan on getting LBP soon, maybe NFS Most Wanted.

Also, if you have a PS3, you can transfer a lot more PSP games to your Vita. Ask on here about them first to see if they transfer, or search the web on them. I transferred Gran Turismo and Valkyria Chronicles 2...both excellent games for Vita.
