So basically, I connected it and it works, and when I'm in the main screen it takes up my whole TV screen, but when I go into a game it kinda rectangulates and has a large black boarder and I'm wondering if it's possible to get rid of that with some settings changes...

Well, thanks in advance!

really? I don't even have them but I thought you would just change the setting under the connected display options. I'm not buying them now...

It would look really fuzzy fullscreen, but at least the option should be there.

Well, many TVs have a zoom feature, so I would take look around in the TV's menu.

Why is there not a feature that automatically resizes video game output? I would suspect it is because the psp's native resolution is 480x272, but when using video out, 640x480 becomes the output resolution. While in the XMB, I would imagine there is spare cpu power to render at a higher resolution. But during a game this couldn't be done since it would cause many games to lag.

I would also imagine this same problem explains the fact that a video game cannot be output via the composite cables (interlaced). The psp is natively progressive, and extra cpu power would be needed to render the output interlaced.
