Just bought a ps3 and....

Well i jus bought a ps3 today and bought Assassin's Creed as well as Uncharted and i was just wondering what are the benefits of having it hooked up to the internet, a few people have told me its a must to have your ps3 up and running online while others have told me not to worry about it. Any input is appreciated..thanks

good to have it hooked up so you can dl the firmware updates and so you can check out the stuff on the PS Store

also the obvious, if you have games that can be played online

Too bad the servers are so screwed up.

If just unplugging your modem doesnt work then try shutting both the PS3 and unplugging your modem. then before turning either on have the ethernet plugged in and then turn your modem on then the PS. Also make sure your PS Network settings are set to WIRED and not WIRELESS, you can find that in yourSYSTEM category in the Cross Media BAr

i tried turning my modem off and plugging it all in again but it stil didnt work...arrgggg im sooo lost!! please helpLeBronJamesTU

First shut off your modem and the PS3. Disconnect the ethernet cable from the PS3. Give it a about a min. Then plug the ethernet back to your PS3 and also Power the modem back up. Now power up the PS3. It should work. If not. Check your PS3 internet setting. GOOD LUCK
