Just bought a PS3 and have some questions

Well i just bought a ps3 as the title says with metal gear 4 and gta 4. My question is is it normal if you cant turn ps3 on/off when pressing the on/off button or you can only do that with your controller

You can turn your PS3 manually too by pressing the on/off button until it makes a little sound, then after that tap it again and the green light should turn red

Thank you -Dionysus- ... as for the PS3 not turning on .... did you remeber to turn the switch at the back of the Ps3?

it should turn on if the switch is on... the switch is on if there is a red light on the front of your PS3... if not then it's probably a

hardware malfunction and so you should turn the PS3 in and get another one

Don't press it, just put your finger over it gently. It's sensered which feels the heat on your finger. Make sure you push the switch on the back of the Ps3 first (at that time there should be a red light that shows..). Good Luck
