hey :D i just bought a ps3 (40 gb) and i have a couple of questions so if anyone can help i will be grateful ty in advance..

1-i have a cable internet connection so how can i connect the ps3 to the web ....what do i need to buy?

2-can i buy any HDMI cable or ps3 has a specific hdmi cable?

1. You can connect the ps3 to the internet via Wi-Fi, but I don't know the specific steps to connect it with the cable. You can see how to do it in the manual, and no you don't need to buy anything.

2. Yeah any HDMI cable will work.

Edit: hope you enjoy your ps3 :), it's a very good system.

1. If you have a router hooked up to your Cable Internet Modem then just plug in an Ethernet cord from the router to the back of the Playstation unless you have a working wireless internet router then you just can enable the wireless setting under Network Options.

2. Any HDMI cable will work.

1. if you don't have wifi then you'll have to connect the wire that goes into the modem into the ps3

1. Dude, first of all thats awesome that you have a PS3. And to connect to the web, all you need is a router. You dont need no Ethernet Cable b/c the PS3 has WiFi. After ur done with that step, go to Network Settings and then ur all set!

2. Go to Amazon.com for an HDMI cable. They have some pretty affordable cables. Dont let the name brands fool you.
