Can you really compare COD4 to it though? Two different shooters. I plan on renting it today.

not really a fan of shooters, cod4 is the first shooter Ive ever liked, thats why I could only compare it to cod4, if you like shooters you might see this game differently from how Ive seen it, I guess renting it first is a good idea

My friend brought it over yesterday, and it seemed like its a pretty solid game. Im sure I would have been loving it if it wasnt for the reason I had been up for about 24 hours and just wanted to go to be because I had worked the night before and right after work I had to go to jury duty which of course, lasted all damn day.

Hey TC, did you try playing the game with someone? The game's biggest appeal is the co-op.

I can't believe you actually bought that game.

It's horrible. I rented it and returned it the same day...

no I didnt, cudnt get any of my mates to come over, and my girlfriend is just not into videogames, that maybe one of the reason why it didnt interest me, but I dunno, I just dont feel it, the gameplay, the controls, the loadings that takes ages, oh and I tried to give it another chance but it even froze two times, so nah, this game might be good for some people but for me, I just didnt like it

yea, just so happens less than half the people who bought it don't like it. ;)

No one I've talked to likes this game.

So you're saying more than half the people that bought it like it? That could be anywhere from 51-100% of Ao2 owners. Isn't that good?

Who've you talked to?

My opinon is:

U should try to test the game by urself (demo, trailer) and dont w8 for ppl to tell u wather the game is good or bad.

I like some games that i feel many ppl dislike but this doesn't bother me.

That's good advice. I own Ao2 and play co-op with my brother. It's a good time. Not ground-breakingly innovative/life-changing like everyone wants every game to be, but fun and worth the time and money.

i bought my copy yesterday cause everyone and they momma wrote good user reviews about it here on gamespot, and i dont regret it one bit. if your into shooters like i am then you'll love this game. I have bought 5 games (games with high rating reviews) after i got COD4 and none of them have been touched but a few times cause they dont catch my attention like COD4 does. after giving up on games till R6LV2 and GT4 i put a lot of thought into AO2, i looked at all user reviews and I decided to get it. i think this game is sick, at first i was getting pissed cause of the controls but after the first mission i couldn't stop playing. graphically i think the looks good as well, i can compare this game to Gears of War. not everyone's gonna like it but that dont mean its not a good game. I think its the $hyznitbambino first game i buy that took my attention off of COD4, and damn that's hard to do.

I happen to think AoT is quite fun. Is it the best gaming experience I've ever had? No, but so what. It's still fun.

It's a bit more Arcade-y than most of the reality based shooters that have come out, but that extra bit of 80's action movie flair is a nice change-up after the very heavy, reality based games like RS:V, COD4, GRAW2.

Call it a palate cleanser before Rs:V2.

Not everyone will like it, and that's as it should be, but what I don't understand is the hatred people seem to have for this game. Why is it so offensive that others may spend $60 of their money on this game?

Yeah, I'm glad I bought it. It's one hell of a great game. If you don't like shooters....why did you buy this? :|

My friend and I played 8 hours of split screen the first night, beat the game the second night and played 4 more hours on the hardest difficulty and it was just as fun, you have to play split-screen or online co-op to get the most out of it.

AoT just seems to be the game to hate lately, not sure why, maybe has something to do with EA, bc it seems like EA is the company/producer to hate

Yeah. I mean, I can understand folks being wary of a game, based on it's publisher's track record and the game's early reviews (back in October), but now people's blind hatred of it is plain stupid.

As for EA being the company to hate, I do know many people hate them, and I don't know why. Not saying there isn't a reason for the EA Hate, only that I am unaware of the reason. Could someone enlighten me?

In other AoT news: y'all think GameSpot will ever see fit to get a review of it out?

As much as I can't stand EA for the Madden series, I still buy some of the games that they publish. I still have Fight Night and I recently bought Burnout Paradise, Orangebox. I am still considering Army of Two. I have come to the realization that it's a game that isn't great but isn't trash based on the mixed reactions I've read. I am still considering Ao2. I'm waiting for one of my peoples to buy the game before I buy it since co-op is what the game is really about.
