Just bought BRAND NEW PS3 slim. The eject/power buttons don't light up. Help?

I've been google'ing it for a while and haven't found anything yet. But it's possible...

It's theCECH-3001A PS3 Slim 160GB. The one that was released in July with a $50 price cut.

Light up buttons isn't a feature that's going to sell a console. It was nice but unnecessary, just like the sensors on the oldest models.

I was actually wondering the same thing b/c I just recently traded in my old fat 80gb ps3 for a new slim 160gb model. It still has the power (red/green) led lights and hdd access light but is missing the blue eject light. So I guess some still have certain lights while others have them taken completely out?
