I bought the 20gb version with 9 games for $600.00. Now I am hearing that Sony is not going to support the 20 GB and that it does not have HDMI. I dont care about wireless since I can just plug into the router, which is in the same room. I decided to make the switch to the PS3 after having 3 xbox 360s die on me but I hope I did not make a big mistake with the 20GB model. Any thoughts? ThanksLink_360
All PS3 do have a HDMI port.
20GB PS3 and 9 GAMESfor $600.00 that's a Grand Slam . Enjoy your new PS3 my friend
please tell me that you got oblivion ?
I played the 360 version for 200+ hours and I gotta tell you that the ps3 version is just a while lot better. I am 150 hoursin the ps3 version .. the time seem alot but I have only played oblivionin the whole last year. Now I am starting on some newand old ps2 games.

No I did not get Oblivion with it but I played it on my 360. It was a great game but I could just never really get into it. the games I got are
1. Tiger Woods 2007
2. Tony Hawks Project 8
3.NBA2K7
4. Madden 2007
5. Sonic the HedgeHog
6. The GodFather (Dons Edition)
7. Fight Night Round 3
8. Need for Speed Carbon
9. Taladega Nights Blue Ray.
I made a mistake, it was 8 games and a movie but I love sport games so i am pretty happy. It has an extra controller as well. Anyway my main thing was the HDMI output and the comment someone made online that sony would not continue to support the 20 GB model. Not sure what that means but I can't see that happening.
nice deal...although most of those games are useless =/ get oblivion, motorstorm and resistance
anyways..i have the 20gb ps3 also and honestly as long as you can live without wireless there is no need for the 60gb...I am running an ethernet cable to mine so its perfect....
yes it does have HDMI and yes you can always upgrade the hd if you want....
the standard warranty applies whether you get the 20gb or the 60gb version....i think what you are referring to by "not supporting" is actually that they discontinued making the 20gb model....you will still get the same sony support regardless of which model you get however...
i think the 20gb is a much better deal....altho it sux that you can never get wireless supported by the system(you could probably buy one of those ethernet to wifi adapters but they would have to be configured externally from the system)...i can live with running a lan cable so im happy
[QUOTE="-GhostHouse-"]20gig is not much, but enough if you dont need more... I've already filled about 25gig on mine (got lots of records) so depends :) 9 games.. wow that a pretty good deal one would think.Link_360
Yeah I thought so too. Won it on Ebay
dude 20gigs is well enough for your gaming needs. Some people have a crap load of vids, music, demos, game saves, movieetc and needmore than 20gig but if you're just going to besaving games, DL some demos and have a couple of movies andsome music onthere then 20gig is more than enough dude.it doesnt really matter if you have the 20gb system because
1.if you were going to use the PSP for remote play, you can use your wireless router to connect your PS3 wirelessly thanks to the updates, besides built in wireless in your PS3 is not a necessity unless you need it becuase your wireless router is far away from you PS3(were you dont mind to clutter your house with a huge ethernet wire)
2.the flash card ports is not really a big of a deal either, unless you wanna show off your pictures on your ps3, in that case you can connect your camera with a USB cord to the PS3 to transfer,(thats not really that big of a deal as I said) if you were going to transfer games from one PS3 to the Other, just your a USB Jump Drive(small and easy to transfer your PSNgames/Movies/photos)
3. you can always upgrade you hard drive, which is the best part, you can use an internal SATA laptop drive to upgrade your PS3's Disk Space
thats why the PS3 is the "Elite" Choice

i'd sell all those games (except maybe godfather and fight night) and get something worth playing.. plus if they're unopened, you'll make some extra bank in the process.
