Just bought Uncharted!

EB Games is selling it early.

Now I have Assassin's Creed and Uncharted to juggle. I bought the Orange Box as well, so it looks like my plate is full for a while.

Whooooahaaa! The game really draws you in from the first second you can control Nate. Awesome summer blockbuster feel.

I'll keep posting my impressions, minus spoilers of course.

If the first mission thingie is any indication, Nate moves a lot faster than he did in the demo. The aiming seems a little tighter than it was in the demo as well.

Update: The movement is about the same when you're on land. Maybe Nate moves faster barefoot? :P

*POSSIBLE SPOILER?*

The first gameplay section is the part from the trailer where Nate and Elena are in wetsuits on the deck of the boat and are attacked by pirates.

You are quickly thrown into combat. The aiming is definitely tighter than in the demo. Doesn't have any of that floatiness. After the first encounter you are rescued by Sully.

There are two high-quality cutscenes that last a good five minutes in the first two scenes. The voice acting and animation are ****ing top-notch. The game just has that warm feeling that makes you feel like you're really on a tropical island. The banter between Nate and Sully is great. You can really tell the characters and story will be well-developed.

Haha yeah I forgot to include COD4. That's the MP fix for me now too. So it's Uncharted, AC, COD4 and Orange Box. Decisions, decisions.

Oh man. This game is just freaking epic.

The "you're playing a movie" thing has never been stronger. Heavenly Sword, while amazing, doesn't even hold a candle to this for the summer blockbuster feel.

Nate is a smart-ass, swashbuckling sort of character, Sully makes a great yin to his yang. Elena is the quintessential love interest. They have a bit of a Han and Leia thing going, but not as pronounced.

The environments are beyond gorgeous. The gameplay is tight. Constant dialogue keeps you "in" the game. Everything about it is just top notch. The platforming is really fun, a lot better than the demo let on. I was ready to be impressed, and I would say I'm wowed.

Picked it up at the 4th floor Gamestop at the mall. Went to the 5th floor one first, but they hadn't even unpacked em yet. Walked down to the other one, and they had it! Picked it up and AC. Amazing game, but its unforgiving if you don't use your cover effectively. I hit a section that had me cussing very early on and had to keep replaying until I finally learned the system. After that, been kicking @ss and popping heads.mbrockway

Uncharted, without a doubt. Assassin's Creed is a lot of fun, but it didn't live up to expectations. It should have been a lot better.

lol, RandC most underrated game ever. And thats literally when it comes to gamspot. Overall RandC was 6 point higher than AC in worldwide average score. Yet on here lol.

As great as the demo was, it pales in comparison to the full game. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is an outstanding game that deserves high praise for it's accomplishments, and anybody who owns a PS3 should give this game a shot.nyc05
